Announcing a new range of cost effective microwave coaxial isolators for use at frequencies up to 23GHz and with fast delivery.

Cost effectiveness is at the heart of the new ACI-20000 range of coaxial isolators being offered by Atlantic Microwave Ltd. for use in commercial and military microwave systems at frequencies up to 23GHz.

The range includes standard bands for communications, radar and avionics as well as full octave bands for ECM, test and measurement and general purpose applications.

Electrical performance is maintained at a high level and, for example, typical satellite communications band isolators provide in excess of 23dB isolation with 0.3dB insertion loss and a VSWR better than 1.2:1 over an operating temperature range of -30 to +65C.

While many of the catalogue items are available from stock, custom frequency ranges can also be offered on very short delivery and, if in application-specific narrow bands, the electrical performance can often be optimised to even higher levels.

The forward power handling capability is between 5 and 20 watts cw and standard built in load ratings vary from 1 to 10 watts but higher power versions are also available as are circulators for use with external terminations.

The most common connector types are gold plated SMA male or female but others such as type N are also available and the “drop in” style with tab connection is an option. Isolator bodies are of aluminium alloy with plated steel magnetic circuit components.
